Vartan Der-Tatevossian is the managing partner at Onyx Law Firm. He has over 10 years of experience in the field of personal injury and property damage claims, including both commercial and residential fire damage, water damage, and wind damage.

Prior to starting his own firm, Mr. Der-Tatevossian was a law clerk for The Honorable Maral Injejikian. Thereafter, Mr. Der-Tatevossian was a law clerk with the Los Angeles District Attorney Hardcore Gang Division Unit assisting then-Deputy District Attorney but currently the Honorable Amy Ashvanian. Additionally, he was an associate attorney at a plaintiff’s law firm, where he began his legal career. At Onyx Law Firm, Mr. Der-Tatevossian specializes in property damage, personal injury, insurance bad faith, and civil litigation. His goal is to safeguard clients, work closely with them to navigate the complex legal process and arrive at a just and beneficial resolution.

Mr. Der-Tatevossian achieved his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2013. From there, he attained his Juris Doctorate from Glendale University College Law in 2017. He was admitted to the California State Bar in July 2018.

Through his practice of law, Mr. Der-Tatevossian has all-encompassing experience in all phases of litigation including propounding and responding to discovery, law and motion, trial preparation, mediation, alternative dispute resolution, and trial. Mr. Der-Tatevossian is a compassionate and yet aggressive advocate for his clients and cares deeply about making a difference in their lives, and passionately applies this desire to his practice of law.
